The risk HVAC systems cannot eliminate.

The U-Vir 100 addresses a risk that HVAC systems alone cannot eliminate. Central air handling units circulate and filter particulates, but they do not disinfect at point of occupancy — and they can themselves become a vector, particularly for Legionella pneumophila, which proliferates in water within ducts and cooling systems and is then distributed through the air supply.

The U-Vir 100 operates independently of HVAC, treating the air continuously at room level using 254nm UV-C. It requires no integration with existing systems and no modification to building infrastructure. In environments with duty-of-care obligations — care homes, medical waiting rooms, clinics, dental surgeries — it provides a verifiable layer of protection that HVAC systems are not designed to deliver.
